Whatsapp is introducing a new feature to its users. According to some reports from WaBetaInfo, Whatsapp is reportedly working on a feature that allows users to lock their chats.
Chat Lock was first discovered in the Whatsapp beta for Android 2.23.8.2. This feature would probably roll out in the next WhatsApp official update.
This new feature allows users to lock their chats which they can access later using a fingerprint id or password. This will lead to further enhancing of your privacy.

The locked chats would be added to the list of locked chats and can be accessed by the user through a passcode. In case the user fails to access the locked chat they will be presented with a prompt to clear the chat in order to open it.
