Samsung disclosed earlier in the year that they were developing One UI 5 Watch software and planned for a trial version to be released in May. However, news from a moderator on Samsung’s Korean Community forum, via SamMobile confirmed that this trial release has been postponed.

The announcement suggested that the delay was related to Wear OS 4.0, but specifics were not given.

The moderator apologized to customers who were looking forward to the May release of the trial version but did not offer a new release date.
Still, it is likely that the One UI 5 Watch trial will be launched on Galaxy Watch devices in the coming month, before the much-anticipated unveiling of the Galaxy Watch 6 series rumored for July. The updated software promises enhancements such as better sleep advice, a customizable heart rate area, and advanced emergency features.
