According to today’s data from Counterpoint Research, Samsung maintained its business as the leading mobile phone brand globally, with a market share of 22%. The Galaxy S23 series released in February helped to win because these devices sold well worldwide. However, Apple held a market share of 21% throughout the same period, although its phones tend to be more expensive in general. Global phone sales by key regions in 2023 reached more than 280 million units, representing a 7% decrease over the previous region and a 14% decrease compared to the same length of the previous year.
Apple has dropped quite well among the top five phone makers for the year. Meanwhile, OnePlus has reached the highest number ever for its first half since being the fastest-growing icon of a lot of phones in the top ten offices.
Looking at the second half of 2023, Samsung may also face a difficult situation in maintaining its No. 1 role due to generally lower revenues during this period since the company rarely releases new phones in the category as a whole, but Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Z Flip Punch. Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be in the next week and can be released.
