WhatsApp Android Beta: Improved Forwarded Media

- WhatsApp testing feature to change the description of forwarded media files before sending.
- The update aims to prevent misunderstandings and misinterpretations.
- New security features added: Account Protection, Device Verification, and Automatic Security Codes.
Meta-Owned Whatsapp is allegedly testing some new features regarding forwarded media files in their Whatsapp Android Beta update. According to the latest updates from WaBetaInfo, this new beta update would give users access to change the description of the forwarded media files. Before this beta update, whenever you forward a media file, you cannot change its description. This, however, will be improvised with this update.

How does this feature work?

According to WaBetaInfo, whenever you forward a file now, you get the option to change its description before forwarding it. As you can see in the Picture Above, this is how this new feature will work. By allowing the users to change the description, misunderstandings, and misinterpretations can be avoided by a large margin.
However, some beta testers complained that after installing this beta update, they were having issues regarding viewing statuses and downloading videos. But knowing Whatsapp, this will be fixed as soon as possible in the next update.
Whatsapp New Security Features

In addition to the Forwarded media update, Whatsapp Android Beta also added some new security features to their instant messaging app. These 3 features are Account protection, Device Verification, and Automatic Security Codes.
Account Protect is a new feature that allows users to verify their accounts from an old device before transferring to a new device.
Device Verification stops the malware from accessing the Whatsapp account to send unwanted messages.
Automatic Security Codes are another feature that makes the process of security codes much easier and more secure.
