According to a report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now compatible with Google WearOS. The report also said that the smartwatch app for WhatsApp will be available on WearOS enabling users to stay connected and chat directly from the smartwatch.

You can access these features by installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.10.10, available on the Google Play Store. The app was listed as compatible with smartwatches, especially with WearOS, according to users. For those who don’t know, WearOS is an Android operating system designed for smartwatches.

Beta testers who want to install WhatsApp on smartwatches have to install the latest version of WABetaInfo Android 2.23.10.10. After linking your app with your WhatsApp account, a prompt will appear which will give you 8 digit code. The user will have to enter that code on the device.

Users will be safely synced across devices after entering the code, allowing them to use WhatsApp on a smartwatch. The end-to-end encryption will still be maintained as it relies on multi-devices capabilities.

As mentioned above, this feature is only available to beta testers for now. The whatsApp business app doesn’t support this feature, as per the report.
