- WhatsApp beta for Android introduced the ‘Expiring Group’ feature
- Users can set a timer for the group’s expiration, which auto-deletes the group when the time is up.
- The feature is not available yet but will be released in future WhatsApp updates.
Whatsapp introduced another new feature in its update WhatsApp beta for Android 18.104.22.168. Just before this, they introduced another addition called ‘Companion Mode,’ which was a much-needed addition.
The new ‘Expiring Group’ feature allows you to set a timer for the expiration of your group. As soon as the timer runs out of time, your group will be automatically deleted. This feature is great for people who make groups for short activities. Before this, they had to delete the group manually, but now it’s all a thing of the past.
As you can see in the Picture above, there is now an option available for a group expiration timer. Not only will this make your chats look cleaner than before, but also save you some extra storage space.
‘Expiring Group’ feature is still in development and not available to users right now. But after its development, it will release new WhatsApp official updates.
In conclusion, WhatsApp has introduced a new feature called ‘Expiring Group’ in their beta update for Android. This feature allows users to set a timer for their group’s expiration, making it easier for short-term activities and reducing clutter in chats. Although this feature is still in development and not yet available, it will be released in future WhatsApp official updates.
