WhatsApp Unveils Chat List Filter Feature

WhatsApp, the popular messaging app with two billion active users, is working on a new feature to meet the challenge of having vital conversations. In an upcoming update, users will be able to be in their conversations directly in the chat list.

A beta update to the WhatsApp Android app reveals that the new feature will have three filters at the top of the chat list, replacing recently changed tabs. These filters will help users filter out conversations based on unread messages, personal conversations, and work conversations, making it easier to find important conversations, especially for users with multiple connections though the current update does not include a filter for group chats, which may frustrate some users.
